I've seen several articles on this connection. We shared it with someone we met whose mother had Alzheimer's. the next time we saw him, the whole family was using coconut oi and he said his mom had improved. He said they even put it on toast! (Not WBiers of course)

Thanks for fixing the link Rita....after reading the article, my husband took two tablespoons already today! I've been doing that since starting WB but he thought I was overdoing it!

I can't do that. It gives me diarrhea. I take about a tsp every few days.

Jan, dumb question: how do you take 2 tablespoons at one go? Is it in liquid form? My CO is solid.

When in the south, mine stays liquid.....but up here I have to nuke it for a few seconds !  I know, nuking is frowned upon......but that's what I do.

I don't melt mine...just take a tsp full in solid form. It melts instantly in your mouth. No greasy taste or feel...no problem.

Thanks--I will try melting it a little or taking it by the teaspoonful. Somehow I always get this visual of Homer Simpson pouring a bottle of coconut oil down his throat with a satisfied glug-glug-glug!  :D

When in a more solid form, it reminds me of my mother ands hat can of crisco......just can't get past that!

My autocorrect is lousy!  I meant to say that eating it in solid form reminds me of the olden days when my mother used crisco.....can't swallow it!

Has anyone experienced digestive problems from Cocoanut oil? I have been wheat free since the end of February and other than the occasional exposure to wheat have not knowingly consumed it. This past week I have experienced upset stomach, bloating and most uncomfortable, a gnawing pain in the upper gastric region that comes and goes. I just am not feeling the overall wellbeing that a number of people are reporting. I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow and just know that I will be facing a barrage of tests and medications! I am wondering maybe if it could be the increased fat?

Misty Blue -   what does your diet mainly consist of?    How's the dairy?  I had the same thing happen and now I'm experimenting taking goat milk instead of cow milk and I've been feeling great.
