Porridge

I found this recipe from Danielle at Against All Grain : http://againstallgrain.com/2013/01/04/banana-nut-porridge/

Looks like a yummy substitute for hot cereal except for the banana.

What might I use as a substitute? Am thinking some unsweetened applesauce.  Or just a lot of cinnamon & some blueberries.

What do you think?

Good idea, Lila, should work well.  I love oats but have the problem of wanting to add tremendous amounts of sugar.  Guess it's really the sugar I like but this looks pretty tasty without the sugar.

I would add cinnamon AND some nutmeg, a drop or 2 of vanilla and a sweetener to taste.  This would be a good recipe for your green, resistant starch small banana.  The banana isn't sweet when green.  Nice recipe for a change of pace.
