substitute for flaxseed

I am highly sensitive to flax seed in any form.... crazy I know
what can be substituted for ground flax seed in the recipes?
Can coconut or almond flour be used?

I have a friend who follows the wheat Belly lifestyle and is allergic to flax seeds n she replaces flax with Chia Seeds, working wonderful for her, try it, you would use half the amount asked of flax.
