Anyone taking fermented cod liver oil? If so, read this

The Weston A Price Foundation has been recommending Green Pasture Fermented Cod Liver oil.  Now it looks like this oil may have never been fermented, is rancid, and may not even be from cod:

I wonder what the explanation is going to be?  Reminds me of the Julian Bakery fiasco with their low carb breads which weren't low carb.

I haven't taken cod liver oil for years!  I remember it was difficult to get used to, but was considered extraordinarily health for you.

ConsumerLab.com has not tested this product (or any fermented CLO).

I see that Denise Minger has an ad for the Green Pastures product on her blog. I'd stay tuned on that.

Wheat Belly doesn't seem to recommend CLO, fermented or not, due to, as I put it on the blog "Apparently not. Cod liver oil contains excessive amounts of the retinol form of vitamin A, which blocks the beneficial effects of vitamin D. At the levels of Omega 3 suggested, the A might even be directly toxic."

Chris Kresser has weighed in.
Thinks there may not be a problem,
but had already stopped using it some time ago anyway.
