A summer treat
« on: June 27, 2013, 03:59:55 PM »
My dd passed this recipe on to me. I thought it sounded like a good now-and-again treat for a hot summer day. The person who posted this said that it tastes like a Wendy's Frosty. Haven't tried it yet so have no idea if that's true. But it sounds yummy. And relatively harmless :)

3/4 C almond milk
approx 15 ice cubes
1/2 tsp vanilla
1-2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 of a banana

Mix together in a blender.

I'm going to try it this weekend. Maybe it can take the place of my beloved Andy's custard! Something needs to LOL

Tried it last night. Total fail! Think I put too much ice in it to start, plus my blender was messing up so it wound up watery and tasting like chocolate water. Yuck! LOL Will try it again when I can get a new blender.
