I love having cereal for breakfast, but couldn't find a good alternative. So I decided to make one up.
I went to Sprouts and hopped on over to the bulk food section and purchased:
Chia Seeds
Pumpkin Seeds
Slivered Almonds
Ground Flax ( now I buy this at Costco )
Hemp ( also buy this at Costco )
I also purchased Stevia to sweeten things up.
I had to do a little experimenting, but I found a hot cereal combo using these ingredients that I really like:
2 tbsp Chia
2 tbsp Pumpkin
2 tbsp slivered almonds
2 tbsp ground flax
2 tbsp hemp
2 tbsp ground flax
1 tsp cinnamon
about a cup of vanilla soy milk ( I like soy milk, but you can do whatever you want here )
I then nuke that for a minute, stir, add stevia to sweeten, and cut up strawberries or blueberries on top.
Yum!!!!
