Yeast for baking bread
« on: October 20, 2013, 07:44:10 PM »
My Wife and I baked some bread Saturday using
a "grain free" recipe recommended on this forum.

It tasted "okay", but not great AND didn't rise
much.

It was supposed to be "sandwich bread", but you
can hardly make a sandwich with it since it didn't RISE much
at all.

The recipe called for baking powder, but it still didn't rise much.

Any ideas? CAN WE USE YEAST so it will rise??? (There is no wheat in it)

I am trying real hard to create sandwich bread that won't crumble or
taste like sand or have a bad odor to it (the previous bread we made
smelled awful, but tasted ok).

PLEASE HELP a bread LOVER!!!!!!!! :D
