In the future, I'll probably call them NAMA:
National Affliction Maintenance Association

Avoidance, cure and remission are touchy taboo topics at NAMA,
especially when accomplished by a diet that deviates from NAMA's dogma.

What is "SAD"?

Coming from a couple of years of what I refer to as "slacker Paleo"  (light years ahead of your typical SAD but nowhere near being able to say I was truly dedicated), I found the switch to my current lifestyle far less severe than what many experience.  I was able to enjoy all the benefits (some surprisingly quickly) and didn't really experience any of the reported difficulties.

SAD could also be Seasonal Affective Disorder,
which is highly correlated with time of year,
but I'll bet it responds to diet.

SAD is also the acronym for several other conditions,
at least two of which are likely diet-tied.

Greentree,

Love that GFJ acronym!  Nearly everything sold in the gluten free isle fits into that category and many of the online recipes do too.
