Kale
« on: December 17, 2013, 12:37:14 PM »
Usually I stick kale in other dishes.  I never make Kale it's own dish.  But in the last week, I started sauting Kale in lots of butter and bacon fat, and then when I served it, I sprinkled some of my soaked/dehydrated cashews and pumpkin seeds on top.   It was absolutely fabulous, and my 13 year old son went back for seconds!

Rita, this sounds great!  I always add it to my hamburger soup in abundance, which I make often, but don't usually eat it by itself.  I'm stopping at the store tonight for more!

I bought kale tonight by mistake instead of spinach so we are having kale for New Year's Day with our pork roast and (a few) black eyed peas. I'll do the cashew thing too!

I really like collards but don't like how they smell up the house.
