I haven't tried this yet, but the smoke flavor added to sea salt sounded rather tasty.  I like it when I barbecue.

Nice recipe.  This smoked salt adds a dimension to whatever you cook, like smoked paprika.  Roasted chicken or turkey that is brined with this salt (ala' Judy Rogers) will have that bbq essence even if you've baked it in the oven.  Think I'll make some the next time I grill.  I have some charcoal and I'll use some twigs.    :)
