Rita, thanks for asking! I'm slowly getting better. Think it's a combination of ReMag, ReLyte, milk kefir, CV and Serovera. Healing the adrenals takes time. My Dr keeps lowering my RX of Armour so I know things are getting better. Magnesium, which I never knew, is important for fighting candida. Seems to be important for just about everything that ails me. So appreciative to our Barbara from New Jersey!

I also have a Biomat and think it's great! I also was diagnosed with MTHFR a few months ago. It does cause detox which I don't think is a bad thing. But what do I know. I get on mine twice a day.

Heidi,

Welcome to the forum. You might want to consider reading The Magnesium Miracle by Dr Carolyn Dean as it addresses blood pressure and also blood sugar plus many other ailments. Really an enlightening read for health. Good luck to you and DH on your health pursuits.

I've been taking 3 tbs of food grade diatametious earth for 2 months and hope it is healing my gut the same way it healed my skin of wrinkles and other unsavory stuff. Also doing Donnna Swank's Trilogy which is Kombucha, cultured veggies and kifer daily(second fermenting increases B vitamins). Getting lots of probiotics from these live foods and am starting to feel for the first time like I'm healing! Candida seems to be be in check for the first time in forever. http://www.culturedfoodlife.com/ or anyone interested in pursuing inexpensive vitamins and probiotics in living food.

Have you considered fermenting the raw milk and making kifer? Been around since time began. Sending good thought your way.

Wheat Free Tips / Re: Weight Loss
« on: August 27, 2014, 12:35:43 PM »
Found it interesting to revisit this thread. I've found hands down the thing that's most helpful to getting rid of candida is a Chitin eliminator, diatometous earth and fermented foods. I take cultivated veggies twice a day, 1/2 cup. Kombucha tea and kefir twice a day. Now to just do this long enough to let my body heal. This forum and y'all have been so helpful for me. Thanks!

Hungry,

You might want to research diatomaceous earth. Works great on bugs and spiders and is very cheap. You can get non food grade at a horse feed spot. Your life sounds challenging and I'm sending good vibes to you.

Jan ~ good to know! It took my confidence away. This morning I checked my first batch of kifer and it smelled so good. I put orange slices in it and am doing a second ferment which is recommended for kifer. Tough learning curve! I'm striving to be a fermento. Lol. Today I had some Bubbies kraut. I wish my CV's tasted that good. They'd be so much easier to eat!

I was told that purists believe the fermented food feeds the candida. It does not. You must increase your good flora to be able to fight the candida. I had to throw away my last batch of cultured veggies as there was something amiss and I'm without right now. Candida starting to flourish again. I'm working on fermenting coconut to make a kiefer right now. It's a learning process. Guess I'll go to WF and get some Bubbie's sour kraut.

Barb,

I take a tablet of Iodoral, used to be 2. My thyroid seems to be getting better. Armour has been cut slowly from 3.0 mcg to 90. Yes, if you can find the link I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm doing 3 tablespoons of food grade diatomaceous earth per day. Have seen changes in my skin after one week as well as having some die off. I don't understand the fermented foods either. Your bugs need to be strong to fight the candida once it's exposed.

Lila,

I too lost 17 lbs when I gave up wheat but that's all! There's a "spit test" one can do but let me think about the best site you can go to and I'll send you a message. I've researched so many sights no good one comes to mind right now. Sorry. Google or Bing spit test for candida. It not infallible but it's good place to start. It's free and you can do it at home. And yes I just read that there is a blood test one can take. You're right about your Dr though, unfortunately.

Or it might be candida. I just read that 70% of people world wide have it. It has an exonskelatin and is extremely hard to kill. It's also impossible to lose weight with it. I've been taking 3 tablespoons of food grade DE for a week and am suffering from some die off. As most docs don't know anything about candida their patients go undiagnosed.

Theresa,

So glad to see you back today! I thought you bought a house and blew us off. Really happy to hear you found a good one and married him. My advice is also to find a good functional medicine Dr. Anyone telling DH to eat low fat, healthy whole grains and margarine is not a keeper!
