Lots and lots of salad and fresh raw vegetables, chia pudding, lots of different kinds of raw nuts, and I add flax meal to as many things as I can.  Also, drinking lots of water.  In the past I thought the only way to get high fiber was from 100% whole wheat.  Boy, was I wrong there are so many fresh ways to get a lot of high fiber.  I think I get more fiber now than I did when I tried to get most of it from wheat!

Oh my gosh!  I have never heard that about coconut!  That makes my day since coconut oil and milk are what I use the most.

It was raw oats from health food store.  Made it with stevia, real butter and a little cream.

I have added a lot of fat to my daily diet.  However, at first it took me forever to get hungry.  But, now that my body is getting used to the fat I am beginning to get hungry more often.  Or, it could be that I have just been exercising a lot more.  I just jogged a 5K this morning after I had two cups of hot tea with heavy cream, coconut oil and then three egss cooked in coconut oil.  That was about 7:30.  I finished jogging around 10:00.  I am just now beginning to feel my stomach doing something.  I think by lunch time I will be hungry.  The more I exercise the more often I feel hungry.  Sometimes I feel like it's a vicious cycle.  But, my doctor says exercise is a very important part of our healthy life.

It was first thing in the morning, so it was on an empty stomach.  Also, Dr. Davis says it's wrong that the doctor's tell peoples to measure their sugar after two hours.  He says if you wait until two hours after you ate then you probably missed your peak.  He recommends testing after one hour.

I did a test with oatmeal to see what it did for my sugar.  I bought a cheap monitor at Target.  The monitor is cheap, but the test strips aren't!  But anyway, I took my blood sugar before I ate the oatmeal and then tested it again an hour after I ate it.  Boy, my blood sugar went sky high.  Dr. Davis said our sugar level should stay around a 100 or so.  Mine went all the way up to 160.  So, oatmeal is not for me!  I think that would be the best way to see what it actually does to your body.

I just added fat at any opportunity I could.  I have half and half or heavy cream in my hot tea everyday.  I also melt coconut oil, let it cool and add it to the top of my meals, when I think about it.  I even add it to my salad after I put my home made ranch dressing.  The dressing recipe is the one in WBCB.  I guess there really is no system, I just do it when I remember and usually at least a tablespoon, probably more.
You should try it.  It really does work.  Although I will be courious to see how Rita does after she removes dairy.  That might be my next step too.

I have finally weighed myself.  I have lost 4 pounds by eating high fat!  I would never had believed it if I hadn't done this.  I will continue to do this. I love eating good stuff.

Don't feel bad.  I too was once a size 6 or so when I was younger.  I too thought I didn't look good in a swimsuit.  I also fell for the no fat fad diet of the 80's, along with the high fiber diet.  I have been on and tried so many fad diets that I know my body is so messed up!  Now, that I am trying to get it right I think my body is just taking it's time because it knows me and figures I will go back to my old way of eating soon!
 
But, I plan to continue on my same grain free, sugar free life style and just hope my body decides to join me soon, so I can lose the weight and become a healthy slim person I used to be.  Let's stay strong together.  I know I may never be the size 6 I was, but I do have high hopes of being at a healthy weight!  By the way I love doing the high fat experiment with you all.  I was going to wait until it's been a full two weeks before I post my results.

That's it exactly.  I had it sent to me as an attachment in e mail and just used the website at the bottom of the attachment.  Sorry it was wrong. But, the one you found is it!  Hope you make it soon.  You will love it.
By the way Trader Joe's has packages of uncured bacon end pieces and scraps.  I buy them all the time and use them in recipes like this.  It is so much cheaper than slices of uncured bacon.  Just a tip.

I agree the Focaccia bread is wonderful.  I have used it to make pizza too.  But, I think the next time I might divide the dough in half and roll one out as thin as possible.  Then cook the other one and cut into bread sticks.  I did it as bread sticks once and used them to dip in herb olive oil.  It was wonderful.  And even hubby loved them.  Howeve, I made one time to try and use for sandwiches and we didn't like it much for that.  It was too thick.

Yes, either a good sister or a stupid sister.  If I were smarter I would have just bought her a really nice present and told her I would be there to support her when she runs it.  Ha! Ha!
It will be fun just to be with all my sisters, my daughter and my nieces for the weekend.

I already posted my breakfast on the "I'm bummed" thread.  but, I had a very large salad for lunch with a whole avocado and homemade ranch dressing.  I made it with full fat mayo and buttermilk.  Also, I finished my chia pudding from this morning. 
For dinner tonight I will have chicken fajitas with cheese, avocado, and full fat sour cream.  No tortillas of course.  I will also have leftover loaded cauliflower casserole.  It has cream cheese, tons and tons of cheese and even some heavy cream.  My DH just loved it!  Finally something with cauliflower that he likes! 
Jan, how did you like using the pancakes as sanwich bread?  I just love them.  I have to make some tonight because I work at my part-time job tomorrow and it is so easy just to bring a sandwich for lunch.

My dh doesn't like them too much either.  I make them anyway. But over the weekend found new recipe.  It's cauliflower,  cream cheese, bacon, and tons of cheese. Hubby loved it and said I can make it as often as I want. He will eat it every time he says.  Recipe on "skinnyfiberfriens.com "  it's called loaded cauliflower casserole. Good luck.

Ok had my first breakfast with added fat.  Hot tea with about 2Tblsps of coconut oil and heavy cream.  It tasted wonderful, it was so rich and creamy.  Then had eggs, mushrooms, onions, and peppers all cooked in coconut oil.  I had made chia pudding for the first time.  I was very full,  but took a few bites to taste it.  Wow!  Wish I would have known about this before. The week of adding fat has begun.

Warrior dash is a 5k(3.2 miles) race with obstacles.  Like climbing over a wall crawling through mud on stomach because barb wire is above you etc.  This will be my first one.  My younger sister turns 50 this year and wants us to do it with her as our gift to her.  Like a crazy sister I said yes!  You can google warrior dash to see more.

I have been working out a lot since beginning of March.  I took from Nov. to March off.   It's been a hard winter here.  I walk/jog on my treadmill 5 times a week or so.  I usually do about 3 miles each time.  But in last 3 weeks been riding my bike again. Hubby and I rode 10 miles yesterday.  Today I rode 15 miles by myself. Training for a "warrior dash" in August!

Rita, Joan. I feel your pain!  I have posted on this that I have also been very frustrated.  I have been doing this since Oct. 2012.  I also feel great and doc is pleased with all my blood work.  But have only lost 16 lbs. Or so.  I haven't cheated at all either.  I must be missing something; are you saying we need to eat more fat to get our weight loss moving again?  Is that per Dr Davis?

I would say the same thing about the carrott muffins.  They need to be a little sweeter.  I added a little Truvia, but that still wasn't enough to keep them from being a little bland.  My favorite is also the blueberry/banana muffin recipe that is in the back of the WB book.  I make a batch of them almost every week!  I even made them using zucchini instead of blueberries last week for a women's meeting at church.  I made them as mini muffins.  The women couldn't believe they wer grain and sugar free.  Mini muffins are great to take as a snack when you travel.

I don't eat hardly any chocolate.  When I do it is in a baked good.  I thought that chocolates had too much sugar. So I use the LIndt 90% Dr. Davis recommends.   I started taking kelp and magnesium in JANUARY.  DR Davis says it takes 3 to 6 months to see results. I am hoping it jump starts my weight loss again

This was my lunch.  I found that the pancake recipe in the WBCB is great to use to make a sandwich.  I took a pancake, cut it in two and spread a little mayo on it then added uncured ham.  I was wonderful and a quick sack lunch.

I am having the same problem.  I feel 100% better and just had blood work finished.  My doctor said my numbers were already good last year, but they are even better this year(been wheat free/grain and sugar free too, since Oct, 2012).  I am very excited about that.  I also had all of the thyroid test done that Dr. Davis said to have done.  All those numbers were good too.  So, I guess it's time for me to start cutting things out to see if I can get the weight loss moving again.  I am down 16 pounds since Oct., but haven't dropped anything for a long time now.  I think the first thing I will remove will be dairy and see if that makes a difference. I wonder if dropping it for a two week test period will be enough time to see results?  Because I still have about 40 pounds to lose.

Dr. Davis is talking abour real maple syrup causing blood sugar spikes.  Since what you are speaking about is sugar free, I think it will be fine.  In fact he speaks about the sugar free syrup he uses, it's called DaVinci (brand name) and I get it at Walmart.  So, I know he uses sugar free syrups.

We dropped wheat plus all grains and sugar as Dr. Davis advises. Since my weight loss has stalled I am thinking about dropping dairy. If I understand this correctly the whey in dairy could be stalling my weight loss.  I guess only way to find out is to stop eating dairy.  I have also started exercising again.

Pancakes from WBCB with sugar free syrup.  Three pieces nitrate free bacon.  Hot tea with half and half.  Breakfast at 7 not hungry for lunch until almost 1.  I love not being hungry all the time!

My husband and I have been doing this since Oct. 22, 2012 .  He is down over 30 pds.  Me only about 16 . Started exercising seriously again just recently.  Anyone have any ideas why my weight is stalled?  Just had all the thyroid test done that DR Davis recommended.  All numbers are Ok.  Getting discouraged a little. Help!
